ARTIST
Trees layered with blossoms, rainbows and suns, little birds and butterflies. Happy feelings, a “thank you,” and thoughts of someone dear, entrusted to flowers. Paintings that pass from hand to hand across time. A painting to hang for yourself, or to give to someone special.
An ordinary day is truly something special. Everyday joys and “thank yous” add color to today, building up until they bloom into a big flower. That feeling goes into every painting. The little birds and small flowers in the paintings may be someone watching over you, or maybe yourself. Depending on the day, you may see them a little differently each time.
Layered paint with a look so rich you can almost feel it. Against soft pastel colors, red, orange, and yellow flowers stand out brightly. Along with layered blossoms, a big tree, rainbows, and little birds, you’ll find wooden doors, stairs leading up to the sky, and even a hidden trick: turn the painting upside down, and Mt. Fuji appears reflected in a lake. Poems written in romanized Japanese are woven into the paintings. As you look at them together, something may quietly come to mind.
