Hikari — Light

In the warm light, each and every encounter made flowers bloom in my heart. Warm feelings became their colors — voices laughing together, kind smiles. I gather those flowers, one by one, into a bunch. Each is a different shape, but all are precious, all are warm. The feelings I can't put into words, I entrust to this bouquet.

“Hikari — Light” is a piece on the theme of light and a bouquet, painted with the translucency and soft colors unique to watercolor. The gentle yellow spreading across the top of the painting symbolizes warm “light” (hikari in Japanese). Painted as if light were softly pouring down from the sky to wrap the flowers, it conveys hope toward the future and a warmth that quietly gives you a push.

Each flower in the bouquet stands for a precious event or an encounter with someone. The times someone supported you, the moments you laughed together, the feelings of someone quietly by your side — each is expressed as a flower carefully gathered into the bouquet.

In the painting, butterflies dance and little bluebirds stay close together — symbols of the dear people in our lives, warmly watching over us and quietly bringing happiness.

A piece that quietly speaks of “the preciousness of encounters” and “the precious time we build up.” It brings gentle light to everyday life and is a much-appreciated gift.

Each flower expresses gratitude for everything: the events that supported me, the times we overcame together, the moments we laughed together.

Among them, butterflies dance and bluebirds of happiness stay close by.

I painted them as if they were watching over us — like parents, family, friends, partners, and people who have helped me.

I'd be happy if this painting brings you warm feelings.
